Alvarado Hospital is working closely with county, state, and federal healthcare
agencies, as well as cooperating with other local healthcare facilities
and systems, to combat the spread of the
Coronavirus disease COVID-19, and remain prepared to serve the healthcare needs of our patients, their
families, and our communities.

The health and safety of our patients, their families, and our community
is our priority. Our staff is under continual training to recognize and
understand the symptoms of COVID-19 and are well-versed in the latest
protocols for treatment and containment of the disease. We adhere to industry
best practices for the protection of our patients and our own staff, and
adjust our practices as needed as the latest information about the disease
becomes available.

Protect yourself and others:

Although cases across the United States are increasing, the best precautions
to take are the same precautions we take against the flu:

  • Wash your hand often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. An alcohol-based
hand rub is a good second choice
  • Avoid touching your face, especially your eyes, nose, and mouth.

It is now strongly recommended that you avoid all large public gatherings,
or any venue that does not allow you to remain at least six feet away
from another person.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath

If you suffer any of these symptoms, stay at home and self-isolate. If
your symptoms worsen to the point where you suffer acute pain, nausea,
confusion, loss of consciousness, or persistent high fever, then seek
medical help immediately.
