The program includes two in-person academic residencies (1 credit each). Students will travel to New Orleans for the first academic residency and to another city of their choice for the second. Anticipated locations include Atlanta, Washington D.C., Chicago, Standing Rock, San Diego, Birmingham, as well as Rome, Italy, and Dalian, China. Each academic residency will last three to four days (Thursday through Sunday). Students will apply their knowledge, visit local public health organizations, and network with one another.
Students enrolled in the Tulane Online MPH may only take online courses at this time.
Yes. The program blends self-paced asynchronous coursework with live, synchronous sessions for discussions, case studies, and exercises to allow students to hone their acquired knowledge and skills.
All students are required to supply their own desktop or laptop computers throughout the program. Click here to review our detailed recommendations for technology. In addition, students who do not own a printer should consider purchasing one to produce hard copies of course materials.
With guidance from program faculty, all students will complete an Applied Practice Experience prior to graduating.
